How does Debt Relief Advocacy settle my debt?

In our initial consultation we will analyze your situation and determine a monthly payment that you can afford. Each individual’s situation is different depending on your debt and abilities.

What will the impact be on my credit?

Your credit score will probably drop when you begin the debt settlement program. Most of the accounts you place in negotiation are likely to “charge off” your debt, which will reflect negatively on your credit score. However, when the debt is settled, your credit score is likely to improve.

How can I improve my credit?

Your credit report is a reflection of your financial behavior, and it is an important tool used when you apply for a loan, a credit card, and insurance. It is even used by some employers in their hiring process. The report illustrates a history of how you pay your bills. If you have a bad credit history, you can repair it. Here are few tips to clean your credit:

Understand the Fair Credit Reporting Act: This Act gives you the right to see what is in your credit report. If you find any inaccuracies, they will be investigated, and the reporting agencies will correct them. If you find something wrong in your report, you can present your case to the agency in a 100-word statement.

Contact Credit Bureaus

There are three major credit bureaus. You can contact them individually for your credit report. The phone numbers and websites are given below:

Equifax  1-800-685-1111   www.equifax.com
Experian  1-888-397-3742   www.experian.com
TransUnion  1-800-916-8800   www.transunion.com

Correct Errors

When you find an error in your report, just follow the instructions provided by each of the credit bureaus. It is between the bureau and the creditor who reported the data to correct the error when it is wrong. You will get a written reply within four weeks.

Validate Your Case: Validate your case by explaining your personal situation. Present the reasons for falling behind in your payments: job loss, serious illness, divorce, death in family, stolen identity, natural disaster, or any other compelling reason that you may have.

Seek Help: If you owe a huge amount of money to different credit cards or loans and if you are unable to manage your finances, contact us at 866-269-2908. We can reduce and settle your debt by 30-80% depending upon the type of card or loan you have.
